Heim Data INTRODUCES JOHN DOUGLAS ASSOCIATES COMMON MISSION DEBRIEF PROGRAM (CMDP)
Mission Debriefing Software for Airborne Video and Avionics Data
Heim Data, Inc., a leading supplier of data acquisition equipment, has entered an agreement with John Douglas Associates (JDA) of Ihlow Riepe, Germany, to market its Common Mission Debrief Program (CMDP) software. CMDP provides the ideal platform to quickly download, review and evaluate mission data recorded using the Heim range of airborne avionics and video data recorders.
CMDP is specifically designed for data acquisition systems complying with the IRIG106 Chapter 10 standard. This standard includes definition for the formatting of data from each type of signal sensor deployed and for the interfaces used for control and data download. Heim Series D200, D5000 and D7000 recorders comply with the standard and can provide a fully integrated solution with CMDP at the mission analysis location.
Recorded mission data is presented on hard disk or solid state flash memory from which CMDP is able to identify and import selected data. The data can typically comprise multiple video, MIL-STD-1553 and PCM signal channels contained within the accurately time stamped IRIG106 packet format. Using the recorded TMATS information to determine the data content, CMDP allows the user to select channels for evaluation from the mission data and then review them in synchronized graphical displays. CMDP can also run with archived data saved on local drives or networked storage, including direct display of MPEG2 files.
CMDP can display up to four concurrent video channels together with the accompanying sound and a time display. The standardized data format allows video and other data from multiple aircraft to be accurately time aligned and displayed. This powerful application can align data from up to 4 individual aircraft, each aircraft providing up to 4 video/audio channels, 16 Mil-Std-1553 buses and 2 PCM channels. Data recovered from MIL-STD-1553 and PCM sources is decoded and displayed as moving graphs or user selected simulations of meters and indicators. When the data includes navigational information, a simulated aircraft can be displayed from various perspectives superimposed in a 3-D terrain map.
CMDP provides for export of selected events or time slots as IRIG106 files, as MPEG2 (video) or CSV (1553) files and can also archive data to tape and DVD media. Preparation of IRIG106 Chapter 10 compliant media for the next mission is provided, including secure erase and time-of-day upload.
