High Bit Rate Ground Station Recorder/Reproducers with IRIG106 CH10 Replay Capability
Heim Data, Inc., a leading supplier of data acquisition equipment, offers its GSR Series, featuring IRIG106 Chapter 10 replay platforms. The GSR Series is a high bit rate, ground station recorder/reproducer that employs a variety of media, including tape, disk and solid state drives. The GSR Series provides outstanding flexibility to fulfill multiple roles in ground data acquisition, copying, reconstruction and file transfer. It can easily meet the varying needs of ground station recording, from systems using economical, easily distributed tape, to very high speed, high capacity disk. The GSR is also an efficient ground reproducer for a variety of media recorded in airborne missions.
GSR Series provides an economical, easy-to-use system for the validation, analysis and distribution of data using IRIG106 Chapter 10, the airborne format preferred by the USAF Flight Test community. All GSR Series machines can optionally replay (reconstruct) PCM, MIL-STD-1553 and video data that has been recorded on system-compatible media in this format standard.
With the GSR Series, the user can readily transfer airborne data in IRIG106 Chapter 10 format from the working solid state media in order to release it for further missions. This transfer can be made to any media compatible with the GSR Series mainframes - for example, AIT-3 tape. This tape is then used for replay, archive and distribution via the facilities provided by the GSR. The GSR200 Series includes an Ethernet interface for networked control and data distribution. An optional built-in PC provides even more flexible connection to networks and other interfaces for control and data distribution, and provides an integrated platform for signal display and analysis applications.
GSR Series controls are designed for efficient time-based search and easy location and reconstruction of data. The front panel includes high-brightness permanent time display, system and data status indicators, and controls for fast search, automatic calibration and system check.
